WonderBox: January 2013 Review!

Yes.. this post is waaaay late. I’m sorry! I was in Indonesia (Bandung, baby!)  for 5 days and I thought I would post then. Little did I know, the WiFi was literally slower than the public ones in Starbucks. I brought all the samples with me and tried them while I was on vacation.
So, here is my very late WonderBox January 2013 Unboxing/Review! If you don’t know what Wonderbox is, it’s basically a beauty subscription in Malaysia that costs RM 39.90/box. Every month, you get a handpicked selection of 5 deluxe beauty samples based on your beauty profile.
Can I first talk about the packaging? Holy moly. It is such a beauty. It has a classic white box with little reflective patterns on them. When you open the box, you see a card and some pamphlets. Moving in further, you see all the products. How cute are the three little roses?! Such a glamorous touch.
1. Ronasutra Mineral Attraction 2-in-1 Foundation & Powder (RM48 for fullsize)
This IS full-sized! I believe Ronasutra is a Malaysian brand and the box comes with a Ronasutra pamphlet. I tried this for all 4 days and I have to say it keeps my face shine-free for a pretty good amount of time (even with all that shopping! :p)
2. Ronasutra Antibacterial Sponge (RM 5)
Next thing that it comes with is also by Ronasutra. It is their anti-bacterial sponge. I use this to blot off excess foundation from my face and well, a sponge is a sponge. They do boast of the anti-bacterial properties though; which is a good thing!
3. Murad Skin Perfecting Dewy Finish Primer (RM150 for 30ml)
My reaction? “Omg, isn’t Murad like.. really pricey here in Malaysia?” They are! It comes in a 5ml tube. I love this primer! I don’t know about the “Skin Perfecting” properties, but I absolutely love the dewyness it gives! It gives you shine at the right areas and doesn’t make you look like a disco ball. Has a weird smell though.
4. Elianto Nutri Rouge SPF18 Lipstick in N02 (RM 25 for fullsize)
Okay Wonderbox… you sold me! Elianto, lipsticks & barbie pink?! How’d you know me so well?! I love Elianto products! This FULL-SIZE Elianto Nutri Rouge SPF18 lipstick is no different. It’s not drying, it’s sheer but buildable and it’s barbie pink! It has SPF18 too: Bonus! Definitely love!
I was just so tempted to hang it on the Cherry Blossom and make it look like a moneybag. :3
5. Hair Chalk (Price unavailable)
These are Hair Chalks! I bought some Soft Pastels from MPH and used them once and then just got too lazy to use them. :p But I tried to compare both these hair chalks with regular soft pastels and these ones go on a lot smoother and is less drying. I’m not a huge fan of orange though.
6. Murad Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask (RM 99 for 6 packets)
Oh, hello again Murad! This is a sample packet of the Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask. I haven’t tried this but I’m really excited! I love Pomegranates!
Lastly, the box came with an RM30 voucher for Murad products! Yay!
The Bottom Line
Overall, I love this box. I love seeing makeup products in my beauty boxes! Come on, guys. 2 full-sized products, 2 Murad products? The box definitely exceeded its value. I think this box is so worth it and I was so happy to receive it! I love my January Wonderbox!
Total Value of My Box!
Mineral Foundation: RM48

  • Oh! I almost forgot to ask…Do you like hair chalks? Maybe not these colors, but others? I have really dark hair too, and I'm not sure hair chalks would work so great.

  • I will definitely keep you guys posted on the mask! 🙂

  • Oh & I do like hair chalks. They're a fun, inexpensive way to add colour to your hair. BUT it takes a lot of time to do. Hair chalks work for darker hair too. But some colours wont show up as much. I definitely recommend a turquoise colour; it looks amazing on dark hair! Just remember to spritz your hair with water before hair chalking 🙂
