I think I have a new addiction- Voto. Haha it is an app where you ask a question and give up to four answers so people can vote. My point is- I was deciding between FOUR posts and looks like Disappointing Products won!
All these products are high end because I have yet to find any drugstore makeup that I don’t like. I’m definitely a drugstore makeup kinda gal. Anyway, I hope you guys won’t be too disappointed by this post because most of the products in this post seem to be favourites of many people. They personally just don’t work for me: either because of my skintone, the smell or the formula. So, without further ado, lets go!
If you guys followed my blog for awhile now, you would have seen this product in a haul. And there and then, I said that I didn’t like it. I still don’t like it: this is the MAC Prep+Prime Moisture Infusion Primer. For RM160, this does absolutely nothing for my face! It doesn’t make my makeup last longer, it doesn’t make it look better, it’s not hydrating and it smells bad. The bottle’s pretty with the shimmers though. :p
Next is also from MAC. I used to love this stuff until I realised how it looked under natural sunlight, haha! This is MAC’s Paint Pot in Painterly, which is also a favourite of many. This is a pretty pink-based nudy pink. The only reason this doesn’t work for me is because I have yellow undertones and this makes my eyes look swollen almost. This product also dries out pretty quickly.
Ahh.. the all famous Benefit They’re Real Mascara. Hmm, if you guys read my Product Smackdown!: Benefit They’re Real VS Revlon 3D Photoready Mascara, then you’ll know that I’m not a big fan of this. It’s too clumpy for my liking, but it gives a pretty finish when you want dramatic lashes. Definitely not something I’ll wear everyday. Because of all the hype about this mascara, I just kinda expected it to be a little better. I like my Revlon 3D better. And my Revlon’s half the price of this.
Wow… that’s disappointing. This is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero. I was so excited when I bought this.. This smudges on me like crazy!! If you can see, it smudges onto the bottom and it kind of creases on me. I always make sure the line is perfect and touching my whole lashline. This is probably because I have REALLY oily eyelids though. & I always use a primer!
This is Sephora’s Lip Pencil in Pinup Pink. This is such a disappointment because the colour is so pretty! I tried it out in the store and it looked amazing! When I came home, all excited to use it, I put it on and it left me so shocked and disappointed, This accentuates the fine lines on my lips. This makes my lips so dry and flaky!! I know lip liners tend to do that, but not to this extent!
AHH Don’t hate me for this!! This is Benefit’s High Beam!! I LOVE the formula and all, love the amazing glow it gives but this is too light for my skintone as you can see!! If it’s more of a golden highlight, I would love it! It’s a creamy consistency.
Sugarbomb Lip Gloss:
Hoola Lip Gloss:
OMG you can see all the little hairs on my face! Anyway, these are the Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Glosses in Sugarbomb and Hoola. Ok, I love the colour and finish of Sugarbomb, but I HATE Hoola. Sugarbomb has a very nice shimmery and glossy finish whereas Hoola gives me this weird brown ring around my lips for some reason?? I don’t know why! But wth? I hate the smell of these though. They smell like sweaty people + butter = Sweaty Butter. Yuck!
So those are all the products and I hope you guys don’t hate me.. too much.. for this! Haha! Thank you for reading 🙂
