Maybelline Color Tattoos! – REVIEW + SWATCHES :)

Hi lovely people! How are you all doing today? 🙂
Last Saturday, I went to The Great Guardian Makeover event (post will be up soon!). It’s basically a makeover event and there were also a bunch of brands selling their products at a promotional price. I had a ton of fun with the makeover and also meeting other bloggers! While browsing the event, I thought I saw the Maybelline Color Tattoos on top of a makeover station and literally rushed to the Maybelline stall.
Oh My Goly! They’re finally here!
There were seven shades available: Bad to the Bronze, Tough as Taupe, Bold Gold, Edgy Emerald, Painted Purple, Fierce and Tangy and Audacious Asphalt.
Guess which three came home with me??!
1. Bad to the Bronze

Bad to the Bronze all over the lid. Tough as Taupe on the outer corners. Edgy Emerald as a liner.
RRP: RM19.90 each.

Bad to the Bronze is a medium bronze colour. It is great for an all-over the lid colour if you have medium to dark skintone. Has a beautiful shimmer.
Tough as Taupe is a purple-toned taupe colour. It is completely matte.
Edgy Emerald is more of a light greenish-blue colour instead of an emerald.

The Maybelline Color Tattoos can be worn alone or as a base to your eyeshadows. These are all very creamy and super easy to apply. All of them apply very evenly except Edgy Emerald which gets a little patchy. These, on me, last for a solid 8-10 hours (the duration I wear makeup). These are waterproof: I have really oily eyelids and these do not smudge on me! They also do not crease on me. These remove easily with a makeup wipe/remover but NOT water. (trust me, i’ve scrubbed at it a million times.)
Final Verdict
These are definitely a great addition to any beauty barbie’s stash. They are very creamy, in the pot and on the eyes (until they set). These will not burn holes in your pocket because it is super affordable at only RM19.90! My favourite colour is Bad to the Bronze. In my opinion, these are way better and so much cheaper than MAC Paint Pots.
Overall
(5 out of 5)

Have you tried any of the Maybelline Color Tattoos? If so, what’s your favourite shade?

I was wondering how do you spread the colour on your lids? Do you use a brush specifically or just your fingers? Especially since it's more of a cream shadow

  • I just use my fingers 🙂 It works well because the warmth of your fingers make it easier to blend.
