Come join in on our Alphabet Challenge! Rules at the end of the post <3
Hey everyone! It’s the third week of The Alphabet Challenge and this week’s letter is “C”. I’ve been digging my brain for some ideas of what to post for the letter C but couldn’t figure it out for days and days. When I woke up yesterday (Friday) morning, I instantly thought “Chevron Tips Nails!”. Chevron Tips is a nail design that I’ve been dying to try but I don’t know why I never really did.
The elegance and simplicity of the Chevron Tips design is just beautiful. But you know me: I have to make my manis colourful!
More pictures and the polishes I used after the jump!
For this mani, I used:
– Etude House Ice Cream Nails in OR201 (Grapefruit)
– Etude House Ice Cream Nails in GR701 (Green Apple)
– Gold Striping Tape
– Sasatinnie GEL Top Coat (Review here)
This was actually quite difficult to do and also pretty time consuming. When I first saw pictures of this nail design, it looked super simple to do! Well, it’s probably because I don’t have the patience and I suck at using tape for manicures. If you guys want a tutorial though, let me know! 🙂 This manicure took me a total of an hour to complete but I’m so proud of it! For the first time, I told myself not to give up because this is, after all, for my Alphabet Challenge. I wish I used a different colour combo though.. :/
What do you guys think of this manicure? I really hope you like it! <3
Did you guys realise that there’s a certain way I like to wear my polishes? :p Ever since a year or more ago, I’ve been painting my nails this way: one colour on my middle and ring finger, and another colour on the rest of my fingers. Do you guys have a certain way you like to wear your polishes? Let me know in the comments 🙂
