*PR Samples– Hey guys! A while ago, Melissa from INCOCO contacted me about reviewing a few of their nail strips and of course, I jumped at the opportunity! I’ve heard a ton of good things about their nail strips and just had to try them for myself. To my lovely readers that lives outside of the US, INCOCO now ships internationally!
I was surprised at how fast my package arrived! There were three different nail strips included: Military Cut, Ikat Catwalk and Ruby Shoes Tips.
Military Cut- A deep khaki green that almost looks black.
Ikat Catwalk- Silver and blue Ikat pattern.
Ruby Shoes Tips- Bright, sparkly red french tips.
All Incoco Nail Strips are made with 100% nail polish and are 3-Free! The strips also already have base and top coats built in.
Today I will be reviewing Ikat Catwalk.
Each packet includes:
– 16 Double Ended Nail Strips (Two strips of 2x8pcs)
– Cuticle Pusher & Nail File
– Silver Tape (to reseal unused strips for future use)
The Ikat Catwalk nail strips are beautiful! I’ve always wanted to do an Ikat manicure, but I really suck at nail art, LOL. Thanks Incoco; now I don’t totally suck at nail art anymore.. well at least not in other people’s eyes!
Retail Price: $8.99/pack
What I LOVED:
I love these nail strips! They don’t feel “plastic-y” like the others because they really are made of 100% nail polish. You can tell that they are made from nail polish because once you open the packet of nail strips, the smell of nail polish hits you.. hard! But in this case, I guess it’s a good thing.
They are very thin strips of polish and are very sticky, but as long as you don’t pull too hard, you can readjust them. They look and feel exactly like nail polish! I also like that, when you want to remove it, you don’t have to peel it off (which I feel is really bad for the nail bed). All you have to do is to remove it with your normal nail polish remover!
BUT.. How long do these actually last? Does it live up to Incoco’s claims?
I took a few pictures throughout the time I’ve been wearing them.
Day 5- I’m very impressed! Usually, nail polish strips will have either lifted off the sides or chipped but these stayed perfectly! There were no chips at all, the tips still look great!
Day 8- More than a week has passed, my nails have grown out quite a bit but these still look like I’ve freshly “painted” them!
Day 12- My nails have grown out A LOT.. the nail on my pointer finger chipped underneath the strip, so I had to peel it off.
Day 16- I forgot to take a picture of this, but I removed my nail strips on Day 16. The edges peeled off a bit and the nail on my thumb chipped off so I finally decided to remove them.
What I Didn’t Like:
I don’t know if I have a weird thumb or what, but I can’t find a strip that fit my thumb perfectly. The cuticle on my thumb is a little more square but the strips with the square ends are too big for my thumb- I guess you could trim the sides a little if you want, though.
Overall, I’m very impressed by the way these lasted! These can easily last 14 days, like they claimed but if you have strong nails (or if you don’t mind a chip or two), they will probably last longer. They were fairly easy to apply. I think it’s definitely worth the $8.99 because it lasts much longer than normal nail polish would if you were to get it done at a salon for probably a lot more than $8.99. They have a pretty big variety of designs that you could choose from!
Have you tried any Incoco Nail Strips? Which is your favourite?
Thanks for reading, xoxo
