Hey everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t blogged in forever- I just got into college and have been settling in and planning stuffs. So today I thought I’d do a post on my top 10 beauty products.. all under $10! Depending on where you live, some of these products might be more than $10, but I thought I’d just standardise it by using US prices.
These are in no particular order. 🙂
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder ($4.99 on Ulta.com)
You’ve probably read a million great reviews about this powder. This is the most amazing setting powder that I’ve ever tried! It is a miracle worker for people with oily or combination skin. It gets rid of the disgusting, sticky feeling of foundations and gives smooth, soft-to-the-touch skin. This also, like the name suggests, mattifies my entire face and I don’t get shiny throughout the entire day- that is awesome!
NYX Powder Blush in Mocha ($5 on Nyxcosmetics.com)
My sister actually gave me this blush when she came back from the US, and I fell in love with it the very first time I used it. This blush is so pigmented and applies really evenly on the skin. This is a pretty bright colour, so I always use a light hand when applying it and it just gives the most beautiful flushed colour on the cheeks. It stays on pretty much the entire day.
Maybelline Baby Lips ($3.49 on Target.com)
I love Maybelline Baby Lips! I used to have three of these: two tinted ones and a clear one. I gave my sister the clear one, and I dropped a tinted one before taking these pictures and now I can’t find it! 🙁 These, especially the clear one, is super nourishing for the lips. I brought it with me when I went to a trip and it was winter time, and it kept my lips soft throughout the whole week! This is definitely my favourite drugstore lip balm.
L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer ($8.99 on Ulta.com)
I use this concealer under my eyes and I love it! It is a super creamy concealer that is very easy to blend. Even though it is so creamy, it doesn’t crease at all! The coverage is also amazing on this. Because it is a twist-up crayon, it is super easy to use and to get into smaller areas.
Maybelline Hypersharp Liner (Price N/A)
I couldn’t find the price of this eyeliner anywhere! I think it isn’t available in the US. I bought it for less than RM20 here, so yeah, it’s less than $10. This eyeliner, actually beats my Dollywink liquid eyeliner… what!? The felt tip is finer, and the pigmentation is amazing! This also doesn’t smudge at all! Eyeliners usually end up underneath my eyes, but this one stays in place all day. It is super easy to use, too!
Revlon Lash Potion (WATERPROOF) Mascara ($4.99 on Target.com)
Honestly, when I first got this mascara.. I didn’t like it at all. It was very wet, and did nothing for my short, sparse lashes. But after about a week or so, it started to dry out a bit. I tried it again and fell in love with it! It gives me super black, voluminous lashes! My favourite thing about this mascara (waterproof version), is how waterproof it really is! It’s not going anywhere unless you use a makeup remover.
Rimmel Show Off (Apocalips in UK) Lip Lacquer ($4.79 on Walgreens.com)
I got this product from an international beauty swap I did. I love everything about this lip lacquer. The pigmentation is awesome, and it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips at all! I feel like it kind of smells like watermelon for some reason, which I’m pretty sure it’s just me.. haha! This stays on the lips a really long time, even after nomnomnom!
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss ($5 on Nyxcosmetics.com)
I have two of these in my collection, and I love them both! I got the first one as a gift with some NYX makeup purchases and loved it so much that I went back and got another one. This gives a wash of colour and a ton of gloss! I love wearing it on its own too. This has an artificial cherry scent, which I love :p They are, however, a little (just a little!) bit sticky.
Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss ($4.99 on Target.com)
There’s no Covergirl here in Malaysia but I bought these in Australia on clearance for AU$5 each. These nail polishes have amazing formulas! They glide on the nails, and aren’t streaky. Even the pastel lavender I have is opaque in two thin coats. They stay on so well, even with no top coat! These are awesome!
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat ($7.99 on Sallybeauty.com)
Seche Vite is waaaay overpriced here in Malaysia, at RM45! But I have to say that it’s an amazing top coat! I know that there are some rumours about this top coat being dangerous and whatnot, but I’ve seen a ton of nail bloggers use and love it. This is like magic! It’s a thicker top coat that you can apply to WET nails and they dry in like next to no time! If that’s not awesome enough, it gives you this amazing gel-like shine to your nails.
Those are the my top 10 products, all under $10!
Thanks for reading, xoxo
