Hi there, everyone! I’m really excited for today’s post because it is the type of product that I’ve been looking for for pretty much, ever- a gel eyeliner in the form of a pencil. I love eyeliner, it is pretty much a staple in my everyday makeup because eyeliner can really open up my eyes, brighten them and make me look polished & put together.
My favourite type of eyeliner is probably gel eyeliner because of the intensity that it gives, and because gel eyeliner just go on so smoothly without tugging at the skin. However, I find myself reaching for liquid felt tip eyeliners a lot more often just because I don’t have the time to take a brush, dip it into my pot of gel eyeliner, and apply it to my eyes, and it is also very hard to take on-the-go.
Now, we get to have the best of both worlds with the Miss Hana Waterproof Gel Eyeliner!
I have two shades to show you guys today- Choco Brown & Night Black.
Read more after the jump!
01 Night Black is a really pigmented black.
03 Choco Brown is a bronzey-brown that has a little bit of a sheen.
I left it to dry, and then rubbed at it for about 30 seconds. It didn’t smudge, or transfer, or fade!
Again, I rubbed at it with water and still, nothing budged. It didn’t smudge, or transfer, but it did fade a little bit.

I tend to avoid pencil eyeliners because they smudge on my oily eyelids so badly even if they claim to be “waterproof”. So at first I was skeptical about this, but I put it on for the sake of this review. When I first put it on, I instantly fell in love with how creamy and soft the pencil is. It glides on so smoothly and is pigmented in one swipe. I came home after a long day at college (about 10 hours) and I was amazed by the results! It didn’t smudge or give me panda eyes, it didn’t fade, it didn’t flake. This stuff is amazing.
It’s affordable, long-wearing, panda-eye proof (haha), and it has cute packaging- what more can you ask for? However, it has ONE downside which might just be because I’m lazy, but since it is a pencil, you have to sharpen it.
I think that this Miss Hana Waterproof Gel Eyeliner (RM24.90) is a pretty close dupe, in formula, for the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliners (RM69), if not better.
Miss Hana’s Night Black feels and looks exactly like Urban Decay’s Zero.
I highly, highly recommend these if you love intense eyeliners, or want a cheaper alternative to the Urban Decay eyeliner in Zero.
Thanks for reading, xoxo
