Cracked Porcelain Doll + 50% code for PinkyParadise!

Number one reason why I haven’t done any Halloween looks in the past two years: I’m no good at special fx makeup. At all. So this year, I thought why not try an easy one that everybody seems to have done – the Cracked Porcelain Doll look. Looking through pictures, it seemed easy enough.. Just make your face super pale, put on some normal eye makeup and lipstick, and then draw on some cracks; but of course.. it wasn’t.
I’m kind of happy about the way this makeup look turned out since it was my first attempt, but it could’ve been much better. The crack on my forehead is dare I say, pretty okay, while the one beside my mouth just looks like I’ve been eating a bunch of chocolate and got them all over the sides of my mouth. The three dots on each side of my face is supposed to be cartoon/doll-like “freckles”. I naturally have a mole on one cheek, can you spot the difference between the mole and the “freckles”? Haha.
I tried teasing my hair to make it a little poofier, but that didn’t happen. Instead, I was left with super messy hair so lets just pretend we were going for the “dishevelled” look.
This makeup look wouldn’t be complete without the eye makeup! I used a black gel eyeliner and did a cat eye, and also smudged a little bit of what’s left on my gel eyeliner brush into the crease to add depth. Then, I choice these pairs of lashes which I will be reviewing in a later post. They’re super dramatic, and long, and they have an enlarging effect on the eye.
And of course, the colored lenses. Personally, I think this makeup look would look really nice with just my natural dark brown eyes too, but I wanted more oomph and opted for these grey contacts called the Vassen Rainbow Eyes Grayish-Blue from Pinky Paradise. I think the colored lenses made a huge difference to the entire look.
I’m in love with this pair of colored lenses! It has so much dimension to it: there’s grey and blue on the outer sides, and more of a brownish tint on the inner part near the pupils. They’re so sparkly and they can turn my really dark eyes into this beautiful, light grey colour, which is pretty darn awesome!
