I’ve been crazy lazy lately (yeah sure.. “lately”), and I’ve been loving every minute of sleep I can get in the morning so it comes as no surprise that I want something easy and quick for my makeup in the morning that I can just slap on and go. These Elianto Long Wear Eyeshadow Sticks couldn’t have been released at a better time for me, haha.
The Elianto Long Wear Eyeshadow Sticks comes in 6 colours – consisting of neutrals and jewel tones. There’s a gorgeous golden bronze, a beautiful eggplant purple jewel tone, a navy blue, a gorgeous blue, and your basic white and black. The concept behind these is that they are basically waterproof, long-wearing, multipurpose cream-to-powder products that serve as both eyeshadow and eyeliner. They are also meant to be a quick and easy product that you can just glide on your eyes, blend and go. You can also use them as a base for powder shadows. They are mineral-oil, paraben, paraffin, and preservative-free.
Retail Price: RM31.90/pc, available at all Elianto stores, and on www.elianto.biz
I love the sleek packaging of these – all-black, with the colour cap at the end (which actually houses a sharpener!). These are twist-up shadow sticks, so it’s not necessary to sharpen them, but if you want to use them as eyeliner (or just prefer them pointed for precision), then the sharpener comes in really handy. I think the packaging is so carefully thought out, and you don’t have to get a separate sharpener (or use the same one for all colours which might cause a little muddying up of the tip you just sharpened).
All physical attributes aside, the formula of these are heavenly. The pigmentation is amazing, swatches shown above are of 1 swipe of each colour (blended, and not). These are very creamy and easy to apply. These are very blendable when you first apply them, so they’re good for smokey/smudgey makeup looks. One thing I find with most cream shadows is that when you blend them, the colour somehow disappears. There is very minimal fading with this, and the colour is still vibrant after blending. Once it dries, it sets to a powder finish and it will not budge. Because it dries to a powder finish, it doesn’t crease on the eyelids and feels very lightweight.
The wear time of these are great, but will depend on your skin type. I have crazy oily eyelids and products start to smudge to my lower lashline in like an hour. These, however, only started to smudge after a long day out (probably about 4-5 hours), which is an amazing record for my skin type.
These have become a staple “lazy” product for me, and I’ve been using them non-stop for the past week or so. I highly recommend these if you’re looking for an easy product that you can apply and go, that are long lasting and affordable. These are also great for travelling because you can use them as both eyeshadow and eyeliner.
In my makeup look in the picture above, I have Brown all over my eyelids, a tiny dab of Black in the outer-V, some Purple on the middle of my lids, and Navy on the bottom lashline.
