Hello (oh so formal haha)! When I was in Australia, I picked up my first ever Fresh Face Mask from Lush and it is their best-selling one, the Lush BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask, that is supposed to help calm the skin and is great for all skin types. This is also a mask that is great at cleansing, smoothing and moisturising the skin, according to the Lush website.
Lush BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask (AU$13.95) contains seaweed that help to nourish the skin. It also has finely ground almond that help to gently exfoliate the skin. Other ingredients include rose absolute and aloe vera gel that helps soothe and calm the skin, with honey and olive oil to moisturise, leaving you with beautiful skin. It also contains kaolin that help to further exfoliate and cleanse the skin.
Most of Lush’s Fresh Face Masks are only good for 3 weeks and they have to be refrigerated so you have to use them up in that time. They all come in a 60g tub, which means you’ll have to use it about twice or three times a week. The instructions say to put on a generous amount and leave it on for 10 minutes.
There are little finely ground almond pieces and they help to gently exfoliate the skin when applying to the face. I love using this mask after a long day because it’s so cooling after being refrigerated and feels so nice and relaxing. When you first apply it, it’s a thick, creamy white. After it dries, it turns to more of a translucent creamy white shade. The instructions say to leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes, but I usually just leave it on until the mask looks and feels dry to the touch.
The mask takes quite a while to wash off (because of the kaolin, maybe?) but I’m left with fresh, bright and hydrated skin so I don’t really mind. Even though there is kaolin in this mask, my skin doesn’t feel stripped or dry (like how sometimes mud masks can feel after removal). My face also feels super soft and smooth after this.
After going through a whole tub of the Lush BB Seaweed, I have to say that it’s a pretty good mask especially if you have dull, or red, irritated skin. The exfoliating ground almonds rid the skin of any dry, flaky, dull skin, resulting in much brighter skin instantly! It’s also an amazing pick-me-up after a long day at work.

– Skin Feels Hydrated and Plump
– Skin Feels Soft and Smooth
– Quite pricey at AU$13.95 for 60g
I can see how this is a best-seller as it works with all types of skin to help provide nutrients, plump and hydrate the skin. Not only that, it also brightens up the skin and provides a smoother base for makeup application. Have you tried the Lush BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask? What did you think, and what’s your favourite Lush Fresh Face Mask?
