JeffLee The Hair Company recently contacted me to try out their hair services at their new branch at Uptown PJ. I jumped at the opportunity because I LOVE trying different hair colours and, a hair cut and treatment was long due! Getting to JeffLee Uptown PJ branch was easy, but finding a parking spot was a different story. I ended up parking at a basement parking lot that had a ton of parking spaces, so if you’re thinking of going there.. go straight for the basement! Anyway, on to the actual review of JeffLee Hair Salon services and also my new hair!
This is my new hair! I’m obsessed! I told my stylist, Zyon, that I wanted something ashy and I also wanted highlights put in my hair. With that, he created this. This gorgeous lilac ash brown colour that is pretty darn close to my dream hair! I am so in love with how my hair looks now, but it hasn’t always looked like this. Zyon had to do a lot of damage control (haha) to turn it into how it looks in the picture. Brace yourself, guys. I’m about to show you my Before and After..
Yup. That head of hay is what used to be my hair. No kidding. That’s how it looks air-dried – frizzy, patchy, and just overall damaged. You can also tell that my hair needs a hair cut real bad, which is weird, considering I only cut it a month ago. My hair cut was blunt, out-of-shape, and don’t even get me started on the colour (which I also just coloured an ash brown a month ago).
Zyon started by giving me a much-needed hair cut and I think he did an amazing job! I feel like my hair in the after picture looks much longer than the one before. He cut my ends into a beautiful V-shape which elongates my hair to make it look so much longer than it really is. Then, time for the colouring! To prevent adding too much damage to my already damaged hair, he only bleached my hair once. The bleach was only applied because I wanted highlights, so it wasn’t applied to my whole head. Then he concocted a mixture of greys and lilacs and some sort of magic to come up with a lilac ash grey colour, and applied it to my entire head. This makes the highlighted areas a little brighter than the rest of my hair for a more natural look.
Then I got to try out their Korean Hair Spa. Holy moly, this stuff is a miracle. What’s different about the Korean Hair Spa, compared to other hair treatments? Well, it’s called a hair spa because you lie on a hair washing “table” (kind of like a mix between a massage table and the chairs you sit on when they rinse out your hair). First he rinsed out my colour and shampooed my hair. Then, he applied a generous amount of a hair treatment.. Then comes the fun part! Steam actually comes out from the bottom that helps to open the follicles so that the treatment is really effectiely absorbed into the hair. That’s not the only reason it’s called a hair spa though! You actually get a shoulder and back massage too! Coupled with the ambiance, the relaxing music, and the massage – it was one of the most relaxing things ever.
After he blow dried my hair, I was so surprised. My hair felt so soft and looked so smooth – which is something my hair hasn’t been in a long time now. I think the Korean Hair Spa is amazing! Not only did it make my hair so manageable, soft and hydrated, the massages are also super relaxing.
That’s it! I left JeffLee Hair Salon with my hair looking probably a 1000x better than when I walked in. My hair felt so soft and hydrated, and the new colour and cut looked awesome! Overall, my experience at JeffLee Hair Salon at Uptown PJ was a very positive one. I might even get a Korean Hair Spa done once in a month, or something like that.
If you’ve been wanting to get a hair cut and a different colour, I highly recommend JeffLee Hair Salon. Ask for Zyon, and your hair is in safe hands! Even if you’re not looking for a new hair cut, you can pamper yourself with their Korean Hair Spa.
What do you guys think of this colour and cut? And, what is your dream hair colour? I would love to know! Let me know in the comments below 🙂
