I just used this in the shower, and OMG I Freaking LOVE IT. I didn’t use any essential oils or any added fragrances, but it has a very yummy tea scent. If you love tea, you definitely want to try this DIY Passionfruit Chamomile Tea Sugar Scrub out! It’s so easy and only requires a few ingredients!
My skin has been dry and flaky lately, especially on my arms for some reason. I came out of the shower after using this and my skin feels super smooth and also moisturised. The sugar sloughed off all my dead skin and the avocado oil really helped moisturise my skin. It doesn’t feel oily and doesn’t feel harsh. Sometimes when I use something too harsh, my skin starts to itch a lot. That didn’t happen with these.
Also, can I just point out how freaking expensive body scrubs are? I personally don’t think body scrubs are worth the splurge because they are SO easy to make. Complaining aside, here’s how to make your very own luxurious body scrub in less than 5 minutes!
What You Need:
Sugar
Avocado Oil OR Sweet Almond Oil
Soap Dye (Food Coloring can also be used, but very sparingly)
The main ingredient in our body scrub is sugar. Granulated white sugar. I love using sugar in my scrub recipes because sugar is finer than salt. Even though sugar is less abrasive than salt, I would still steer clear of using it on the face. The skin on our face is much more sensitive than our body. I do also use sugar in my DIY Honey Sugar Lip Scrub though, because the skin on the lips isn’t as sensitive as the other parts of the face.
I used soap dye to create 4 different shades out of my mixture. What I did was:
You may use food dye to colour your mixture as well, but make sure to only use 1-2 drops (for the whole mixture) if using food dye. This is because food dye tends to stain if too much is used.
