Happy weekend, guys! Have you been feeling stuck in the same routine and being scared to get out of your comfort zone? I’m definitely guilty of that so… what better way to start than with skincare? Today I wanted to talk about Huxley, a Korean beauty brand that’s all about getting out of your comfort zone. They source materials from the most extreme environments – the deepest seas, the highest mountains, the harshest deserts. How cool is that?
I’ve been trying the Huxley Extra Moisture trio that includes products that are gentle, yet super moisturising to combat dryness.
The true beauty, Huxley
Huxley is inspired and named after author of “Brave New World”, Aldous Leonard Huxley. Huxley is a special skincare brand with the natural value of skin as its top priority and pursues the true beauty. Their goal is to introduce the best genuine products for skin.

Huxley Extra Moisture Trio
The Huxley Extra Moisture trio consists of their Toner; Extract It, Oil; Light And More, and their Cream; More Than Moist.
Toner; Extract It
Huxley’s Toner; Extract It is a slightly acidic toner with a rich texture that helps to maintain the pH level of the skin, while leaving the skin clear and moisturised. Instead of a pure water base that many toners have, this one is formulated with over 90% naturally derived ingredients, including cactus extract.
Remember what I said about Huxley formulating products with ingredients found in extreme environments? The one in this toner is a precious ingredient, the Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil, found in the Sahara Desert. While researching this product before using it, I found out that it takes 36 freaking hours to distill just 1 litre of this oil! It’s supposedly a lot lighter on the skin but with far greater moisturising power, compared to your regular skin-loving oils like argan. Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil also has 400x more vitamin E content compared to olive oil, that has great anti-aging properties. This is some real precious oil.

The two main ingredients of this product are Rosa Centifolia and Crape Myrtle extract. Rosa Centifolia extract, also known as cabbage rose extract, acts as an astringent that also helps soothe the skin (my fav type of skincare!). Crape Myrtle extract is used to maintain the skin’s pH.
This is the base product for most of Huxley’s “winner skincare routines”. Today, we’re talking about the products for their winner extra moisture routine, but this toner is also the first step in their antioxidant as well as their hydration routine.
The first thing I noticed about this toner is how amazing it smells. This has their signature scent, which is a fragrance in collaboration with Swiss fragrance company, LUZI. It smells like a wonderfully fresh bunch of jasmine flowers to me. I haven’t had any irritation from the fragrance on my sensitive skin either. I love using this toner as it instantly moisturises my skin to remove that tight feeling and refreshes my skin. It’s the perfect base for the next steps of my skincare routine.
Oil; Light And More
Huxley’s Oil; Light And More is a lightweight facial oil that contains the Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil that’s also in the Toner; Extract It.
This is a multipurpose facial oil that can be used for a ton of things. You can use it to soothe dry lips or as an emergency hair treatment. Not only that, it can also be mixed into foundation for a glowy finish or used as a spot treatment if you have dry patches on your skin that makeup tends to cling to. You can also use this to DIY a double-layer oil mist: just mix toner and oil in 7:3 ratio into a mist container. I tried the oil mist and I freaking love it to refresh my skin throughout the day! The scent is also super refreshing.
To be honest, I was a little bit worried about this. Since I have combination skin that gets very oily at my t-zone area, I was worried that it might make my skin feel greasy and produce oils a lot quicker. But because it contains the Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil, the oil is actually a lot lighter than I expected. It feels more like a dry oil that is instantly absorbed into the skin.
I use about 2-3 drops onto my palms and then press it into my skin. The finish doesn’t look greasy either, which I love especially for the morning time. It removes all dry patches and is a great base for makeup.

Cream; More Than Moist
Made with the same Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil, Huxley’s Cream; More Than Moist is one of the most unique creams I’ve ever tried. It’s a deeply moisturising cream that protects and fortifies the natural skin barrier. It is also hypoallergenic, making it the perfect cream for even the most sensitive skin.
Right out of the jar, the texture of the cream feels exactly like butter. This was a bit worrisome as again, I didn’t want it to be greasy on the skin. However, once you rub it into the skin, it melts right into the skin. It really surprised me because the texture is unlike any other cream I’ve tried before. It doesn’t melt into an ‘oil’, it feels more like a ‘balm’ but is very easily absorbed into the skin almost immediately. Even more surprisingly, it leaves a refreshing feeling on the skin.
I’m so used to creams with this texture feeling heavy on the skin but this Huxley Cream; More Than Moist does not feel like you have anything on at all. To the touch, you can definitely feel that it leaves a barrier to protect the skin. But it doesn’t feel greasy and it doesn’t make your makeup glide off your skin. If anything, it preps the skin really well for makeup.
Tips to Maximise Huxley Extra Moisture Skincare
- Mix the Toner; Extract It and Oil; Light And More in a 7:3 ratio in a mist bottle to DIY a refreshing & hydrating mist, perfect for use throughout the day.
- For easy & fast moisturising, mix a few drops of Oil; Light And More into some Cream; More Than Moist and apply the cream-oil mixture to the skin for instant moisture.
- Use Oil; Light And More on lips and hair as a quick moisturising treatment.

Thoughts on the Huxley Extra Moisture Skincare Trio
I really, really enjoyed using these! They felt so luxurious on the skin and both the products and scents are very refreshing. I love the main ingredient, the Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil, and love how it’s a very lightweight oil but still packs a punch in moisturising the skin. These products are also very gentle on the skin and did not irritate my sensitive skin at all. Eventhough the products are oil-based, they left my skin feeling cooled, refreshed and moisturised. They did not feel heavy or greasy at all, so it’s great even for combination skin like mine!
It’s my first time trying Huxley skincare products but I absolutely loved them and enjoyed the experience so much! I’m really excited to try out more products from Huxley. I currently have my eyes set on their Priming Essence; Radiance Layer, which is a primer for before makeup, their Cover Cushion; Own Attitude, which is a cushion foundation (love those!), and their Essence; Grab Water, which is an essence also made with the Sahara Prickly Pear Seed Oil. They have a ton of different products for different skin types, so if you love what they’re doing with getting out of your comfort zone and using products sourced from extreme environments, definitely check them out and put a few items into your cart! 🙂
